Ruben Canastillo is the Owner/Managing Attorney of AZ Injury Attorneys, PLLC. Ruben has extensive pre-litigation and litigation experience in the personal injury field. Ruben gained valuable experience while previously working supervisory roles for leading Arizona personal injury law firms. Ruben focuses on wrongful death, serious personal injury and catastrophic injury cases stemming from motor vehicle accidents, premise liability and dog bite liability.
Throughout his career, Ruben has recovered over $40 million in total settlements for accident victims, and counting.

Ruben was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. In addition to representing Arizona residents, Ruben is a devoted advocate for the Spanish-speaking community. During Ruben’s time in law school, he was the President of the Latino Law Student’s Association and focused on community outreach to provide opportunities to people in need. From a young age, Ruben knew he wanted to become a personal injury attorney. His grandmother was involved in a catastrophic trucking accident that changed her life forever. This made him realize how effective legal representation can change the outcome of a case.
Being involved in the Arizona community is very important to Ruben. He strives to remain heavily involved in his community in order to provide legal services to the under-represented and people who would otherwise not be able to afford high quality legal representation.
Education
Ruben earned his undergraduate degree from The University of Arizona and graduated with one of the first ever Bachelor of Arts in Law.
Ruben earned his law degree from The University of Arizona, James E. Rogers College of Law in 2018 and was subsequently admitted to practice law before the Arizona Supreme Court.
When not in the office, Ruben enjoys an active lifestyle and spends time with his wife and family. Ruben enjoys the outdoors, mountain biking, hiking, football, basketball, and regularly attends various live sporting events. Ruben loves sports and is a very competitive person. He brings that competitive spirit when he is representing his clients against insurance companies.
Paola is an Associate Attorney at AZ Injury Attorneys P.L.L.C. She has dedicated her legal career to advocating for people in difficult situations. She understands how devastating accidents and injuries can be for the individual and for the entire family. She is fluent in Spanish and brings her professionalism, empathy, dedication, and advocacy skills to each personal injury case. Paola truly cares about her clients and fights for their best interest.
Paola was born in Mazatlán, Mexico and was raised in Phoenix, Arizona since elementary school. She attended Arizona State University for her Bachelor’s degree with full tuition scholarships due to her academic achievements and also represented ASU on their competitive Latin ballroom dance team. Her diverse work with nonprofits and underserved populations solidified her desire to attend law school. Paola earned her Juris Doctor degree from the Arizona State University, Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law in 2018.
Prior to joining AZ Injury Attorneys, Paola worked for two large Arizona personal injury law firms where she gained valuable experience representing injury victims and obtaining high settlements for her clients. She finds great fulfillment in her career, which allows her to help clients navigate complicated legal matters and obtain the best possible outcome. Outside of work, Paola enjoys visiting her parents’ Arizona ranch and spending quality time with her husband and two children. Together, they enjoy the outdoors and traveling.
